Western Pines Apartments
| We re-designed Western Pines, Apts. for Joe Gambril just in time for his peak season! We used fresh, bright colors to appeal to his college audience. To date, it is one of our most heavily viewed websites! |
Mainline Philly Eric
| Mainline Philly Eric is Philadelphia's newest, most advanced, IDX-powered real estate search tool. This turnaround was extremely quick. Once the bid was accepted our design prototype was created, approved, and built in under 24 hours. |
Emerald Door & Glass
| Emerald Door & Glass is a Eugene-based company that specializes in residential glassworks. They operate out of a 63,000 square foot facility with a 3,800 square foot attached showroom, and have been in business for over 35 years. This was one of our first projects. |
Oregon Career Pathways
| The Career Pathways application allows community college staff to create roadmaps to describe a curriculum in a consistent graphical style. The roadmaps can be embedded in the school's websites and the colors can be customized to match the school's color scheme. |
Cache Cachet
| This is a basic eCommerce application which allows customers to purchase products through the website. There is an integrated shopping cart, and shipping and handling charges are calculated automatically. Orders submitted are then sent to the distributor for fulfillment. |
Clean Seal Shine
| This is another basic eCommerce application which allows customers to purchase various products through the website. |
cpwebtool.org
This website provides a central place for all resources relating to the Career Pathways Roadmap Web Tool. The main site runs on MediaWiki with a custom skin. This allows it to be easily updated by the contributors.
The project also uses Trac for managing development tasks and for viewing the Subversion repository. The skin for Trac matches the MediaWiki skin exactly, so that browsing between the two sites is virtually seamless. |
IDX, Inc.
As the industry's best and most advanced IDX services provider, IDX, Inc.was a particularly important project for us. Their software tracks over a trillion (yes, with a "T"!) dollar's worth of real estate listings, all coming from over 300 MLSs nationwide. |
The Metis Center
| This application allows instructors and therapists to schedule the use of shared studio spaces. Each person can log in to the Metis Center website and book the use of a room for specific times. The availability of the rooms, the scheduling and payment is all handled by the website. |
fEAR no Music
| The fEARnoMusic ensemble wanted a website which reflects their style of pushing boundaries. This design provides a look and feel which fits the musicians and the style of music that they play. |
Source One Real Estate
| This project showcases our ability to seamlessly integrate an IDX solution into a real estate website. Source 1 Real Estate provides exceptional real estate services in Indiana. |
Tour of Homes
| Even though the URL is just "www.tourofhomes.com", this site is specifically for Eugene-based luxury homes. This site gets re-designed yearly for their tour event, but our involvement ended in 2008. |
Spring Creek Coffee House
| We customized an existing Wordpress theme for the Spring Creek Coffee House and Deli to include their logo and other graphical elements. Wordpress serves as a great foundation for the site, allowing the owners and managers to update the content on their own. |
Who are we?
We are a two-person team, each with 9 years of experience in website development.
What do we do?
We can deliver projects of any scope from concept to production in a fast, affordable way. To accomplish this goal, we leverage the only the best, most cutting-edge open-source frameworks and libraries. We are consistantly updating our methods and workflow to stay ahead of the curve, and to keep our ideas fresh. If a technology comes out Thursday that makes Wednesday's obsolete, we will have it implemented Friday!
Some of our projects have been very large, and some very small, but between the two of us we have an unbeatable combination of skills and specializations that allow us to take on virtually any kind of work. The database and infrastructure tasks are usually headed by Aaron, while Torgie more often does the graphic and UI work.
How do we do it?
 |
PHP |
 |
Apache |
| We primarily develop in PHP, using object-oriented techniques. We've also been known to dabble in C# occasionally. |
Apache is an industry standard web server, and we've had some very clever moments with mod_rewrite. |
 |
MySQL |
 |
XHTML |
| MySQL is an amazing, powerful, free relational database. We also use SQLite from time to time. |
All of our pages pass XHTML Transitional 1.0 validation. No, really! Check it out! |
 |
jQuery |
 |
jQuery Tools |
| This is a phenomenal Javascript framework! We have saved countless hours by clever applications of jQuery. |
Built on jQuery, these tools allow us to easily add nice-looking features to our projects. |
 |
Linode |
 |
Dreamhost |
| For virtual private hosting options, Linode is great! With virtual servers, it's easy to configure new servers and scale websites extremely quickly. |
Dreamhost is perfect for quick, light hosting. They are affordable and their web panel is magic! |
 |
Subversion |
 |
Trac |
| Every developer should use version control! Subversion is our favorite. Never lose data again! |
Trac is our ticketing and bug-reporting tool. The best feature is its seamless integration with Subversion. |
 |
Aptana |
 |
SQLyog |
| Aptana is a fantastic IDE built specifically for web development. It's cross-platform and free, and works well with PHP. |
SQLyog is a great MySQL client. Unfortunately it's Windows-only, but it's still the best out there. |
 |
Wordpress |
 |
Munin |
| Wordpress is a great platform! And the customization options make it extremely flexible. |
There's nothing worse than having a server go down... instant notification means we can bring things back quicker. |
 |
Fedora |
 |
FreeBSD |
| If we are using linux for a project, it's Fedora. Or Ubuntu if we need a graphical interface. |
FreeBSD is our UNIX of choice, preferred for dedicated services. |
